I was messing around with my watch earlier today, winding and resetting it, and I discovered an odd thing. The time setting adjustment and the minutes (and hours) counters of the chrono function are linked. I checked with some other watches I own and foun...  

I\'d probably never find out had you not pointed it out - too much respect and too little understanding of what goes on inside to try something like that out

Is this watch minute counter semi instantaneous or continuous? If the latter, its possible that while chronograph is in operation, its directly coupled to the motion works of the time hands. That would lead to this interesting quirk seen here... Regards, ... 

Not like a 7750 that jumps after 60 seconds - this Presage minute hand moves smoothly. I checked with the 6S37 which also jumps on the minute counter. It does NOT exhibit the behavior of the Presage. It must be a feature of the new triple-clutch movement....  

I believe continuous counters in general, work by having a clutch engaging the chrono minute/hour hands directly to the regular time minute/hour hands. Since they are mechanically linked, adjusting the time manually via crown while chrono is engaged will ... 

I figured there had to be some reason for it, but could never figure out why. Anyone with a XXI who can verify. Shorty's Home?
