Trying this Grand Seiko SBGM235 GMT and love it!
The intricate mosaic dial design and case finishing can indeed rival the venerable brands from Geneva. Case size at 39 is more suitable for those with smaller wrist. Complication of GMT is indeed useful for travel - just pull out the crown and adjust the hour hand away with date changes when reaching 24. The blue GMT hand and GMT hour markers are playful and legible that easily match with the white leather and even the blue strap.
I still find bracelet or rubber strap to be a better combo for this complication. But no complaint. This piece certainly is a high mark for Grand Seiko.

Another equally lovely 235 GMT piece!
I’ll probably keep this watch as playful as I can be with the white strap. Guess winter is coming but we all have to get ready for summer next year. Thanks for the inspiration. Unfortunately all my other watches will have to take a back seat during travel...
