I admire the watch indices of the Evolution 9 UFA. This photo clearly shows how they glow in the light, making them easy to read even without lume. ...  

In regard to your observation, I have a Green Birch. An interesting feature of the markers which are the same as your ufa, there are horizontal ridges on the indices. This is because the dial is dark. In low light it appears black, but in a moderate light... 

One of my favorite pics is the one one of our forum members took showing the sides of patek hands VS sides of GS hands. The GS hands were smoother and finished well. The patek hands had visible burrs...

It took me a while to get fully used to the hour marker design of the new design language but am quite happy with it now 😊
