Yeah the black dial on my SBGR011 is incredible, a deep gloss black looking like wet paint. And the when catch the light correctly the intricate dial shows itself. Magical!
Picked this one up in Tokyo. Full set like new condition, they really know how to look after their watches in Japan 👏
Also has the gold medallion seen here. I read the medallion is of the chronometer grade watches.. though I think all of the 9S55 should perform at top rates. -5/+4 ? Or -4/+5 can’t remember. My watch is running within these parameters which in itself is amazing for an 18 year old watch! ✊
And it’s rated at 200 meters for water resistance! (I need it tested at a GS store).

What a cool watch. Finishing and dial super. And great spring drive movement. Held at the same time as a Vacheron Historique 1942 and a Patek Neptune 5081. It held its own very well! Immaculate finishing! ...
