In fact, I am always a little disappointed with modern GS. I own several vintage GS and one modern (which is a reissue of a vintage piece), and nothing I’ve seen in the modern line-up (aside from reissues) has given me the same emotion/reaction as the vintage pieces.
Yours is a stunning watch.
I was close on picking up another reference with a similar finishing a few years ago. I need to look back to see if I took any photos at the time. I was also stunning, but a mechanical GS in yellow gold if I remember correctly.
