You can’t wind a 7S26 movement directly using the crown.
You have to move the watch to jumpstart the winding motion.
Whereas, the NH36 can be directly wound using the crown.

The North American seiko service center is in Mahwah, NJ. Had an orange monster with 7S26 that I brought there to have serviced. Only took a week or two and was very inexpensive. I think they just swap the movement though.
