I've seen the Heuer
associated with Col Glenn but have or had no idea what he wore. Col Glenn, Neil Armstrong, steve McQueen, Joachim Rindt and others would have all have been the same people if they had worn a whatever. It's nice that people come to understand who they were because of an interest in watches. Their history is our history. RIP.

Yesterday, America and the world lost one of its great heroes. Warrior, explorer and statesman, Col. John Glenn represents the best of mankind. He led, he fought, he inspired. He will be sorely missed by all of us who look to the heavens in awe and wonder...

All these people from that era are getting on in age now when such amazing things were done. I wonder who in 40 years will pass away after being such a pioneer and being remembered in such a way? All these things were firsts and pushing mankind into space...
