Interesting how different they look and only months apart. One is crooked and has fat cuts into the inlays with lots of cracks.

This is unusual too to see a TAD inlay filling in gaps with black glue. Normally TAD cut the wood so precisely the inlay fits like a puzzle piece . Glue filler is not needed to hide gaps. You can see the dimples from where the filler shrank and left the indents.



The other is flawless mop and hairline notches cut with I think a wire saw. See the round ends of the cut like done with a wire? Note each notch is slightly different lengths because it was hand cut in 1960s





Calvin got the cue from his Dad to commemorate a special day. So Calvin can't get the date wrong.
