In addition to enjoying time at the LA Purists Summer BBQ GTG , I was also treated to several memorable meals around LA with some great company. What I don’t have pictures of were the late night hot chilli dogs and burgers, but what follows are several of... 

In an unassuming restaurant one enters a world of extreme culinary focus rarely seen or tasted. We had a variety of appetizers: quail egg with caviar, green beans with walnut sauce, marinated jellyfish with monkfish liver, king crab gelee ... Followed by ...  

I will need to take up Thomas' offer...gosh..it looks great!

A beautiful, richly warm Californian day and the perfect location at which to enjoy it. Lovely views of the beach, great company and a dirty martini (my first!). Andrew...  

More Japanese, but this time with a seafood emphasis. Some interesting sashimi variations, many imported from Japan. Andrew...  

Lunch at Café Colombia was fun and very tasty. My first exposure to Colombian variants of enchiladas and the like. And great company kept following me around! Andrew...

Wow Andrew, those are some great dining experiences. The secret beef place, sushi, and then empanadas, arepas and bandeja paisa all in one trip. A true multi-cultural dining experience that's representative of the multi-national diversity of LA. Hope you ...

After spending an afternoon at Beverly Hills' wonderful vintage Omega store, we sauntered across the road to this local Italian restaurant to talk about the watches we had seen and share some delicious pasta. Andrew...

I see red ... So much history soaked into the walls (and floor) of this place. And the chunkiest chicken soup I have ever had. Better than mum makes! Andrew But the rose gold of the Senator Chronometer managed to cut through the red lighting of the Rainbo...  

They do a really good hot wings there. You're lucky to have Art as your host, he's royalty there! -MW

And that pesky Journe kept popping up at the restaurants we visited … One of the restaurants had great bottles from past dinners lining the walls. This Ch. Latour caught my eye as it is from my birth year (and that of several other Purists). Pity we weren...

Andrew, I hope you don't mind me adding a chapter to your post, which by the way, made me extremely hungry! It was a memorable food experience for sure, but what really made it stand out, was the company we were in. Here's a couple of shots from Tommy's. ...

Tommy's has a chili Tamale that's really good. Yeah it's sounds strange but oh so yummy! -MW
