FYI, if you do come to LA, along with RPV/PV area, there are peacocks in and around the neighborhood surrounding the LA Arboretum (Arcadia). I often seen them ontop of roofs!

I remember my first encounter with peacocks in kindergarten.

their poo-poo looks the most disgusting out of all birds poo-poo.
