It was nice having the Panerai there for the pool and boating. After all, it has the Italian heritage.
That said, the watch I really enjoyed wearing there (in the evenings mostly) was the Rolex 6238. A Rolex chrono from the 60s just fit so perfectly with the vintage vibe of VdE. It was like being transported to another era when life was more simple and I could imagine that 6238 on someone's wrist at that place 50 years ago.

My first time in Villa D'Este, many years ago; Madonna was there too, dining at the next table. We stayed in the old wing - Versace Suite. We were told he lived there before acquiring his villa. Love the Italian linen sheets!
