Oh Great.......It's fire season again.... threatening the ole trailer park.
This one is a brush fire that's a few miles away although it looks closer. I think only one house lost so far.
These days they don't really try to put them out, they just surround and contain them until they run out of fuel. Due to the fires in the last few years here the hillsides are managed pretty well. Although the unknown quantity is the wind.

I was in Simi Valley yesterday in the middle of the afternoon . . .
. . . and saw the fire. We've had brushes with wildfires ourselves, most recently in '24. Earthquakes, droughts, wildfires, homelessness, graffiti - why do we live in So Cal?
