TimeOut

One here, albeit fretless.

I collect violins and 'cellos (and play the 'cello), owning several in the 250 - to 350-year old range. As with vintage watches, I very much enjoy the honest craftsmanship. In contrast to vintage watches, I enjoy the fact that the old instruments are functionally better than the new ones (although some aficionados of modern instruments will take issue with that view). 'Cellos are a bit hard to transport, but I wouldn't mind bringing an old violin or two to a get-together.
