Some more Abu Dhabi pics...

 

One of the great things about the PuristSPro GTG's is that we get to explore wonderful places around the world.  New friendships are made and old ones are renewed.  On this partiular trip we headed to Abu Dhabi from Dubai.  A hour and a half drive later we arrived in Abu Dhabi.  Abu Dhabi is the largest of seven emirates that makes up the UAE and is it's Capital.

We rounded around the corniche and things were lively as a soccer (futbol) match had just been completed.  It seems like everyone in the city was out cruising on the streets.  Our second stop was the landmark Emirates Palace.  The lavish Palace has 302 Grand rooms and 92 suites. 

Our drivers and SUV's were great but too bad we didn't arrive in this:

We got our exercise in for the day as we walked around the huge Palace:

Incredible detail and craftsmanship went into the design.  Even the stairs are stunning!

Handcrafted rugs of beautiful colors were displayed all around:

In one of the exhibitor halls they were proudly displaying next years Formula 1 race.
