That's how a European goes to the beach. Panama hat, towel and a beverage. In 'Murca there will be 6 folding chairs, a drinks cooler, an umbrella that will blow away if you breath on it, a gallon of sunscreen, food for a month, a first aid kit,
a hamper full of sports equipment, dive gear including rebreathers and saturation dive equipment (hey, you never know) and enough beach blankets to cover half a football pitch. Did anybody remember the towels?
