Stephen, It's incorrect to state that the Platinum on earth did not form here, but came from Meteorite impacts. Completely incorrect.

I did have my doubts about it, that all the platinum coulnd't possibly come from space, but alot of them did, didnt they? I mean, the Earth probably had some platinum already when it was formed ( which if you look at it way back ultimately also came from ... 

Platinum occurs naturally on earth. Fact. As for the meteorite issue. Meteorites tend to have higher concentrations of Platinum than exists in the earth's crust. Hence, sites of meteor strikes tend to be a good place to go digging about for Platinum. That...
