of a UN MArine PErpetual with a silver seconds hand. The watch was number 001/500 - it was from an auction catalog from last summer - The watch had the same hand as mine - I am not wondering if early versions of this watch were supplied with silver/chrome... 

Even if the one you're looking at is 100% original with silver secs hand, I'd still opt for the red hand version. The extra splash of red on the dial is a killer combo with the vivid royal blue IMO. Cheers, Anthony
