Ulysse Nardin

Ulysse Nardin just unveiled an interesting watch, the Blast Free Wheel Maillechort. Well, new, not totally as there was the Free Wheel Marquetry, but this one offers a different show. Here we have a 45 mm case which mixes a glass box and white gold, 12, 4...  

Doesn't Ed have this one, or is it the Free Wheel version??....

i think the dial just looks very different to most dials I have seen and the case shape and finishing really makes this watch special, whilst i agree it does look like anything but UN straps may be an issue and even then they may be too. Luckily it's not ... 

Since quite a long time this is a UN that I find to be in the spirit of the "real"UN. The price point and the size may not be for me but I still like the result !!

On most points. As for the case design, these have been a bit ‚risque‘ in most of UN watches for many years - and hence an acquired taste. And while the inability to easily change straps would bug me, I could live with the rest of the case rather well 😊 ... 

They need more of that across other models, too.

This looks amazing! Also, love the HQ photos!

For that level of expense.
