Hehe, what did you expect?

When asking in a UN forum, the replies are not surprising. My personal view is a little bit different: When I was into buying a diving watch many years ago, my choice was between the Rolex Sea Dweller, the IWC GST AT2000, and the UN Marine Diver. All three had roughly the same price, but the Rolex and the IWC appeared to me too professional. I am not a diver, so why should I pretend to be what I am not? So I decided to acquire the UN, and did not regret it. It is still my favourite summer and recreation watch. Many years later, I also purchased the IWC, but sold it after but a year. The UN is much more pleasing to the eye. The design details are a joy to study, their execution is wonderful, and I am still pleased whenever I take a close look. The IWC was clumsy and rough, in a word: professional, compared with the UN, and whenever I had the chance to look at a Sea Dweller or Submariner, this was the same impression.

Regards,
Marcus
