Hi, I'm wondering where to start with replacing my caprice with a stainless steel bracelet? My current leather bracelet is dirty, and the dealer quoted $1200 for a bracelet, does that sound right? Thanks for any help!

not sure about price but it sounds about right for ss bracelet you can always buy another leather band for a quarter of that even less, buying accessories for watches can be rather expensive ie bracelet or deploy clasps unless it comes like that from UN, ... 

... since, generally, they are priced rather high. Ever since I am interested in fince timepieces, I recall hearing the advice: "Whenever possible, buy the piece with a bracelet from the beginning, since it is much more expensive to add the bracelet later...
