Ulysse Nardin

Thanks for looking and commenting, ArmisT ☺️🙏

For me, this watch is all about quiet confidence rather than showmanship.

In a world full of polished steel and retro reboots, this Diver [Air] stands out by doing its own thing—unapologetically. It doesn’t try to be a classic dive watch. Actually, it seems to question what that even means today.

It has no bezel and no date. There is nothing written on the dial. And there are no vintage nods. Just a skeletonized dial, clean lines, and a clear focus on modern materials and functionality.

The watch has been reduced as much as possible, and at the same time it is incredibly durable. I like that!

The newly designed UN-372 movement plays a big part in that, with its open and very reduced design and technical feel. There’s not a hint of nostalgia here—and that’s part of the appeal for me.

Sure, some might see the overall look as a bit too edgy or technical. But to me, it is consistent, and it has a lot of character.

This probably isn’t a watch for deep-sea adventures—but for watch freaks like me who are into fresh ideas in watchmaking rather than familiar formulas.

As I already wrote, I still need to see and try it in person.

But if it wears as convincingly as it comes across on paper, this might become my first Ulysse Nardin.
