The Year of the Monkey
This motif just got released.
Different than the dragon, snake and horse which are filled with enamel in their bodies, the monkey is outlined by gold wire trimmings. The background of leaves and branches (presumably from banana trees) is a nice touch.
Showing these pictures to my relatives, at first glance they thought the animal is a scorpion because of the long tail sticking upwards ! 
LOL
Anyway, IMO it is more interesting than the goat.
Overall at this point before seeing the monkey in the metal, I prefer the more fierce and/or powerful motifs of previous years.
What are your thoughts ?
