I have owned this watch for 1 year; i am in a quandry b/c i didnt realize that it had an ETA movement....now it seems like a cheap watch to me...i feel sort of ripped off....any comments on this would be appreciated carl

that the alarm is an ETA? Who gave you that info? Ask the people where from he has his info.

an ETA-calibre. But you should know that ETA's producing quite expensive, well working and modern calibres, for example the 8611 for Omega, an anual calendar. (I know, not as sophisticated as Ludwig's perpetual of course...)

as far as i am aware Omega stopped using ETA calibres with the introduction of the 8500 calibre claiming that it is their first in-house calibre for more than 30 years. this would then follow on that the 8600/8611's are also in-house calibres. i may of co...

well Carl, pretty much all new Omegas will be using them. the new Aqua Terra uses an 8500, the Hour Vision uses 8500 and the hour vision annual calendar uses 8611(although i thought it was an 8601), i may be wrong without looking at the reviews, but i thi...
