Simply because I liked it. At that time I was not aware of the need to check case and movement serial numbers, so I have no idea if it is/was legit according to VC's archives, but it filled a desire for me to have a calibre 1019 auto in my collection, and...

Pardon my naïveté but are movements and cases getting scammed? Assuming all is normal, why did you choose not to wear it? It is a phenomenal beauty. Easily worn suit and Saturday night dinner. Thanks, Joe
