Hello fellow Purists, I have been trying to find info on the cal. 1226 which powers the current Overseas 47040 model, to no avail. Could some of you help me with details? Is this in-house or "imported" from JLC or Piguet-based? Thank you for sharing

I think it is supposed to be cal 1126. I've seen the OS Automatic in other literature that says it uses a cal 1126. I don't see why they would relabel their own cal. BR, Dan

I just went to the VC website, and while the description definitely says it is a cal 1226, when I look at the movement picture - it is engraved "1126/1". There must be an inconsistency somewhere? BR, Dan

Another glaring error.

Alex reminded me of an earlier discussion at THL. His reply at that time was that the 1226 was a 1126/1 that was up-rated from 21,600 vph to 28,800 vph.

I can not believe that anyone that is half way knowledgeable about JLC or Lemania calibers would think that the number of part listed by VC on their website for all of their particular caliber is correct If you just look at the number of parts that JLC li... 

You might get someone to proof-read your rant so it makes sense ;-)

That last part you wrote there "In fact, its a renamed VC caliber 1126, which is based on the JLC 889." is not on the VC site Thanks for the confirmation. So, now things are all Richemont-Inside as well as on the outside... Makes perfect sense.

which I've had for 3 years and still marvel at the bracelet everytime I put it on. I prefer bracelets to leather bands so most of my watches are s/s on bracelets. It is a toss up between the OS and GO Sport Evo as to which is more comfortable. Ray
