This Hodinkee bastardized VC is very gentle handsome.
I love the stainless steel body though I prefer the white dial of PT version rather than grey

While VC might be very good in Terms of quality, history and mechanics...,
They're usually Not my taste in Terms of Design. The cornes de vaches really is the only exception for me of the current Line Up. I like the pink gold one even more and would Love to See a yellow gold one with black or Grey dial.

Just admiring from afar. I love the lugs, the size, the looks. Everything about it is perfect... except the price. Plus, Hodinkee bastardized it in my eyes.

It seems that VC is seriously over-pricing this one. I think if it was for example ALS or another brand, the price would be 10-20% less. But it is gorgeous.
Something like that.
I can justify a slight premium over the 1815, but not that much.

I do happen to agree.
I like the much better contrast with a gray dial on the H edition. And I like the use of steel. But, it still waters it down. I wish VC would follow suit with a steel version for the masses.
I also like,
the grey dial. It is uniquely completing the H edition and differentiate it as the H Limited. I just prefer white dial as I feel it is more versatile for me personally. Perhaps we can together make a Purist Limited Edition in steel??? White Dial / Panda D...
The RG version has gradually grown on me
The upgrade from the 1141 to the 1142 movement is also a nice touch. Ken

Sorry to disagree on the lugs, but I don't like them. I tried it on a couple of years ago and I didn't like them at all. I guess, as usual, it's just a matter of taste. Thanks for the pic. Vte
No round shape lugs for me.
Teardrop lugs look even worse, if I can say so. Same happens with Voutilainen's creations, as much as I LOVE them, the lugs are the part that spoil the whole thing. I can't help it. Perceptions, tastes. Vte
