FrX,
Taste is a subjective thing so I would say that every design or collection will have fans and naysayers.
But you asked a personal question: Do I like it?
When I started collecting watches, the plan was to get at least one of every major brand viz. AP, PP, VC, ALS, JLC, Breguet, Cartier, Chopard, Piaget etc.
To this day, I have no Breguet nor VC.
Why? I like some of the models and even tried to buy one at the VC flagship boutique in Geneva during a visit to the manufacture.
It's usually about being at the right place and time.....so nothing worked out for those two brands.
There were many VC models I liked e.g. Mercator, 1972 asymmetric, Overseas....but I never engaged (except for the Mercator attempt in Geneva).

FIFTY-SIX COLLECTION
This new Fifty-Six collection did not attract me.
The watches are competent timekeepers, no doubt, but faced with hundreds of watches, I could not pick them out from the background noise.
Using the surplus production of a Cartier movement does not endear me either.
