First off, I want to thank Bill who way back when described this watch in great detail. Check out his posting ( www.watchprosite.com ) for all the nuances. I am pretty consistent in what I like in terms of collecting watches favoring silver metals...

I have also been looking at these, but the new 4500s version in steel

That photo is really haunting me! It shows off how spectacular the dial of the QdI day-date model truly is. Is the entire case in palladium or are the flanks in titanium? And do you know if the dial is the darker or lighter gray that was offered for perso... 

The entire case is palladium but the dial and lugs are polished with the remainder of the case in a more matte finish.

Congrats on such a wonderful choice! A true beauty. Might I ask the reference number? Cheers R
