You can ask VC to install a VC strap for you while the watch is with them. Most watch retailers have a nice stock of straps to choose from, and they should be able to assist you.

Good afternoon, I received for Christmas my father's Vacheron Constantin. It is being serviced as I write this. I was hoping some expert could tell me how old the watch is based on the following: -18 K gold -Ref # 7295 -Case # 423456 -Mov. caliber K 1001-...
I have forwarded this information to VC...

saying that their records show a watch with those numbers was manufactured in 1967. Enjoy your watch! Please share photos when you have it back in your possession. Bill
