43mm gets a little large for my taste. I would probably look backwards to one of the Malte models, either the EP at 42mm or the standard at 39 mm, were I to get this complication from VC.

In fact, I would almost certainly have purchased one but for the hassle associated with a manual wind perpetual calendar (of which I already own two). I saw one in the metal a few months ago and it is absolutely stellar. Enjoy! Craig
