The caliber 1136 was used in at least three different models until 1995, more or less. That included probably the nicest Phidias variant.

yes i agree the date ruins the dial i like the idea of the date, but it just stinks to intrude on the chrono

the manual wind version sans date with the Lemania movement.

VC needs both mechanical and automatic chronographs in the collection IMHO. In-house calibers are my fervent wish!

All I will add is that this watch pay homage to the vintage Vacheron Constantin reference 4072. Watch image pulled from a Google search Bill...

I own both in yellow gold and I must say I prefer the 49002. I think it fits nicer on the wrist and I like the second hand at 6 in addition to a useful chronograph, in that I find a 30 minute counter to be useless other than for historical and esthetic re...
