The eyedropper is the way I was taught in watch school not long ago. We, however, used modified droppers- using a blowtorch, we heated and bent the tips at about 45 degrees from stock to aid in application. Otherwise, you are using the same methods we did... 

I epilame the whole wheel and pallet, using an epilame bottle with basket. I dont use any heat, I used to but since epilame evaporates almost instantly it seemed unnecessary to me, and it works just as well. I dont epilame reverser wheels, I use Lubeta V1... 

The Epilame rubs off over time in use and in the absence of lubrication can cause amplitude problems. The same applies for the girl as well. The only part of the pallet fork that benefits from Epilame is the stones. _john

It has absolutely no effect at all over time. If it did it would show within a matter of minutes considering the to and froing at 8 beats per second. Not sure what girl youre refering to either? When i was an intern at Omega, the entire movement was epila...

I must admit I would have suspected corrosion due to the red colour. Why were pivots unaffected? As far as concentration of the epilame I guess it shows the importance of replenishing the epilame quite often in the bottle. Good info!
