Epilame application....
Cleaning and then rinsing parts.
Eye dropper used to dispense Epilame.
I use a barrel from an old pocket watch to hold escape wheel, for application.
Escape wheel placed onto barrel.
Holding escape wheel in this way, allows good access to the end of the teeth for application. Also prevents the pinion leaves and pivots from contamination.
I use an eyedropper to dispense Epilame. Notice the bulge at the end of the dropper.
Touching the tip of the teeth into the bulge at the end of the dropper. After application, immediately dry with indirect heat.
Applying to pallets in much the same way.
Just touching the tip of jewel into bulge of Epilame. Taking care not to coat the metal part of the fork.
Reverser wheels are placed in a basket.
Submerged or dipped in container made for the purpose.
Then dried with indirect heat.
Curious if someone has a different method for this delicate process.

not a good idea to Epilame the pallet pivots
The Epilame rubs off over time in use and in the absence of lubrication can cause amplitude problems. The same applies for the girl as well. The only part of the pallet fork that benefits from Epilame is the stones. _john

I must admit I would have suspected corrosion due to the red colour. Why were pivots unaffected? As far as concentration of the epilame I guess it shows the importance of replenishing the epilame quite often in the bottle. Good info!
