As far as I know there is next to no watch development being done in English speaking countries.
German, French, Japanese, Chinese, yes there is a market.
In the English speaking area there will be only a few hobbiests to buy it.
Here in the Swiss/French boarder area every serious shop has it.
Economically it is probably cheaper and quicker for a couple of people to learn French.
