Started off the year with a Moonwatch - 3861 Hesalite. I had looked at Moonwatches over the years but the new version pushed me over the edge. Probably the most precise timekeeper in my collection. My AD happened to have one in January - walk in acquisition.
Love the straps from George at Genteel Handmade.
This is another watch I’ve looked at over the years. I came close with the blue enamel guilloche dial version in 2019 but wasn’t sure that the dial would be a longer term love. My AD (same one as above) was able to get the boutique grey dial version which I’m happy will stand the test of time.
I missed this one when it came out. Love the story behind the production of this re-release and the work that Breitling put in to modify the movement to repurpose as manual. After gifting my son my Chronomalt 41 for a significant birthday I had space for a Breitling. My AD - same one again - had one left in the safe that hadn’t sold in 2019 - lucky for me!
No travel for over a year due to COVID so missed the opportunity first time around. Waiting list is closed but managed to source a pre-owned model in perfect condition. Learned my lesson so I have a perpetual calendar incoming direct from Moser in early 2022.
Finally managed to source a pre-owned stainless CDV. Have chased this one since it was introduced but production numbers are low and no AD where I live This strap is a straight swap from my Patrimony Traditionelle which contrasts with the Serapian gradient calf strap it shipped with.
