Being away from home...

Thank you so much Oliver!  Lange did the hard part -- all I did was release the shutter!

Being away from home so much (I've been in Korea for 2-3 weeks at a time now for almost a year) gives me a lot of time to play with my camera smile

I've had my DSLR over here fpr a number of months now.  Almost brought my tripod as well this time, but it's pretty heavy!  So I've been working with the camera sitting on the desk by my window (on top of a notebook and the VC SIHH 2011 Novelties book to provide the correct height to match my little watch stand).

Amazing what you can do with indirect daylight and a piece of black cloth.  This piece turns out to be pretty easy to photograph -- I'm told (but don't know with certainty) that ALS puts anti-reflective on both sides of their crystals, which surely helps.  And when a movement is that 3-D, it's hard to go wrong!

Thanks again for the kind words -- coming from you, they mean a lot to me.

Best,

Gary
