... with only happy memories (and a couple of watches) to remind me. Always great to be with fellow PuristS, and I was lucky enough to catch up with some in New Orleans and LA. Hope to meet you at IGOTT2 next May. Regards Andrew
It was on my wrist this whole week... The only problem is that when you go to a dinner with it, everybody is touching it, and rotate the bezel, so, at the end, you don't know what time it is, anymore... Super duo of Freaaaky watches, by the way! Best, Nic...
i think its the shape of the bezel that gives it a floral look. definately one of the best watches out there, but not liked by everyone as it is so far out on its own. best Graham
Feel free to say what you are thinkning. I am happy to listen to you. I have had a disappointment in my latest search, but not giving up yet. HAGWE respo
One full week traveling with a single watch is another form of torture. Back home, swapped several watches until I landed on this one: It's good to be back to my stone garden: My warm thanks to "you know who" for the strap hint. It's a very nice strap. Ch...

It offers actually ALL shades, depending on the ligt: outdoors a very light RG, more like light champagne. Indoors a clear YG. BUT the FREAKY ( here it fits to the theme ) thing is that it always tries to escape to WG, just for a glance, a milli second. H...
Thanks for sharing this wonderful Lange here, Moritz. Lange nearly always manage to present watches that are very Teutonic in nature but have a wonderful inner life and warmth. This used to be more apparent, to me at least, in their movements, but I see i...
Hi Nicolas, I need to spend a bit more time with this watch to make a final decision, but it looks great on your wrist. I went 'freaky' last week with the De Ville Dynamic, and that's as far as my collection goes at the moment. But one never knows ... Her...
Some of you may have noticed this watch travelling with me in the US recently, but as it is becoming a tradition to introduce new watches on the Friday WristScan thread, I give you my ‘new’ F.P.Journe Octa Rèserve de Marche in Pt with YG dial ... Andrew...
Thanks Aaron, I knew you would appreciate the original Octa RDM. In fact after the Tradition and now the Journe, my collection seems to be following in your footsteps. I guess we can't help good taste! So what should I get next? A
Well this is what is on my Christmas Wish List: GO Senator Chronometer (not yet settled on metal) ALS Lange 1 Moonphase in RG Vintage Royal Oak ... [ I can hear my wife's voice in the background: "Which Christmas is that, Dear?" ]
Thanks Geo, You set somewhat of an aesthetic benchmark around here, so I am pleased you like this choice. Even thought the Journe company (at 10 years) is young in horological terms, I think this Pt/YG combination will become historically significant as t...
Big case (40mm +), but with hidden lugs so wearable for me, fiberglass caseback, original bracelets, lightweight and great for summer. I kept the one on the right and gave the other my fashionista daughter. G
Sans Freak; Freak-deprived; in negative-Freak mode; horologically disadvantaged, Freak-wise... As it is still half-way through the working day here in Dullsville, a more conservative approach is in order. Accordingly, it's the same offering as last week (...
... the grass seems somehow greener in the Ulysse Nardin-garden. ~Sigh~ perhaps one day, one very very lucky day, the Freak-gods will smile on this downtrodden loser. Until then, you had best guard yours carefully, and not bring it to any antipodean GTG. ...
thanks on the photo front PP, it was the only sunny morning in the last 6 weeks so i jumped in and took it. we dont get many sunny mornings you never know, the right Freak may present itself to you sooner than you think. best Graham...
I confess to be the same sort of boring non-freak. But, who knows: if everyone is freaky some day, only the non-freak will be the real freak, won´t he ? Have an enjoyable WE everyone, freak or non-freak, anaesdoc...
