Unsure if it's a vintage Tissot, at least . . .
. . . not in the sense we usually define the term. Looks more like a relatively recent reissue to my eyes. Perhaps N can fill us in. Best, Art
Yes, it's a reissue! Art & Nico are correct.
It would be very lucky indeed to find a gilt dial from the 50's in that condition, I'm not that fortunate! This reissue was called the " Janeiro " from the mid-90's, and it's a pretty obscure reference which I happened to pick up off eBay quite inexpensiv...
