Hello dear Mike! What an interesting Theme you choose for this week end!! Whales are wonderful creatures and Big Whale watches are truly awesome...
... Though my preference in watches is usually around the 38/40 mm diameter cases, I adore Panerai and "forgive" their big size as I consider it part of their DNA and heritage.
Taking a look into my collection, I find that through the years I have discovered several other brands producing Big watches which I also fell in love with in spite of their big size and weight.
So I will answer your call for sharing Whale watches with the following specimens:
1) Seiko SLA033 ... the new version of their "Captain Williard"
6105-8110 model has a weight of 131 grams with its rubber straps and a case size of 45 mm, which makes a big statement on the wrist.
2) IWC 5009 Big Pilot is truly big, with a case of 46,2 mm and 15,4 mm height. Weight: 147 grams.
3) IWC 5103 Heritage Pilot 48 is a limited edition and big brother to the previous watch. Thanks to its Titanium case of 48 mm diameter, weight is lower than that of the Big Pilot: 122 grams.
4) My real Blue Whale of my collection is the Panerai Pam 341 Big Egiziano (which I affectionately call "The Brute". 60 mm case and 75 mm lug to lug length makes for a very unpractical timepiece except if you have the wrists and arms of Swarrzeneeger or Stallone. Weight is "just" 201 grams thanks to the fact the case is made of Titanium.
Have a very nice week end dear Mike and all our dear friends here. I send my best wishes of good health through these trouble times we are living these days.

Even the Heritage Pilot 48 mm looks small side by side with the Big Egiziano!!
