Hello my dear Count!! Glad you like this watch and it is very interesting what you comment about it. Actually I feel that this is an effect of the watch being high polished and pictures...

 

... taken under a very bright clear and sunny day which has rendered the watch darker.
The bracelet is polished on it external links and brushed in the center ones.
The dial is truly black and the polished ceramic bezel deep black too and this contributes to the general effect of the picture.
It really deserves to be viewed in the metal to appreciate it so much.

What I like a lot is that it looks so dark, so black on your pictures. Not only the dial, the whole watch looks dark, bracelet including. Have not seen it in real (how could these tines?). Do you find it also extra dark looking?

And yes, often it’s really these well -aged Vintages, and especially from Rolex, which can offer real also “ GADA” properties (GADA=Go Anywhere, Do Anything). IMO, a nice Explorer sample, a very nice one, as I was lucky to find it, already several years ...
