Hi Andrew it took me a long time to find an all original version as opposed to a service dial and bezel or a re made new case version and I bought it head only and then hunted down the period correct Omega mesh and Omega Isofrane and box for it. I really only like and get on with dive or sport watches, and as much as I like the look of chrono's I just don't get on with them once on my wrist and have learnt that the hard way. I prefer the look and size of this version as opposed to the full size PloProf as just find it more comfortable to wear and as I no longer dive it just suits my needs better. These seem to be even harder to find now then they were 3 years ago and they seem to be few and far between in any condition never mind all original. I also seem to have moved to towards smaller more elegant watches as opposed to very large watches which is what drew me to the Gen1 VC Overseas my now favourite watch. Thanks to all for the kind words re my Baby Ploprof.

I had a Seiko which stayed with me a couple of weeks. Something like the popular divers with 2 tone bezel.
I thought I was going to have a fright when I penned the picture...
But luckily was greeted by a very nice JLC. Very nice indeed and one I don't know. Cheers Andrew
oldest & longest
HI Thought id post both my oldest & the one I've had the longest First the oldest - a fabulous Futurematic - circa 1953. Took 3 years hunting to get this one. Not sure how long they were made , but not long so prob 1956 latest. Oris Big Crown pointer date...

I have a friend who has one and you rarely see them these days. Certainly one watch that kept up with the future as is as good on the wrist today as when produced. Yours looks in great shape too. Cheers Andrew

. . . Andreas Huber, Para, Stowa, et al., are rarely found here. Don't know if German manufacturers at that time had American distribution, but I've never come across one in the metal. Intrigued, Art

Guess the Connie has got something special for a lot of vintage collectors. Often I wonder how some of those old Omega\'s are so cheap compared to their Rolex counterparts (if you get my drift).

Usually, the WS starts on Thursdays around end afternoon Paris Time, to end on Sundays end afternoon Paris Time.
But the most important is your watch. And I must say that this baby Ploprof is quite cool. Less brutal than the Ploprof, but not less charming. Best, Marc. Nicolas

I would say the Hermes is
more of a non conventional pocket watch as you can fit it nicely in the palm of your hand and when closed measure some 2.5 cm x5 cmand less than a cm in thickness. best
