I actually find HK harder to cope with during the summer
After 7 years in Singapore, I thought I knew hot tropical weather, but summers in HK are even more stuffy. Plus we get an actual monsoon where it rains for days on end. As opposed to one shower in the afternoon for an hour in Singapore.
As for watches, leather, rubber or metal bracelets are required. Unlined straps deteriorate too fast.
