Btw - my extended family of old was based in Argentina (and Uruguay) during 30’s & 40’s setting up first diesel electric generators. Up until the 80’s they where still going - I wonder if they are now? The engines where made in Manchester by Lister Blacks... 

... And in my young years in the late 1960's and mid 70's I visited Local Lister offices as an external auditor working for Price Waterhouse of whom Lister was a client. Years later Lister Company was dissolved in my Country and all assets were sold to a ... 

My uncle (now in his 80's), and who's parents where based there during WW2 (as a 6yo boy he saw the Graf Spee leave Montevideo), was the last member of the family to work for the company - he would travel to B Aires and conduct meetings from the airport a...

Seiko was the official time keeper for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. They created two World Time watches (6217-7000) to commemorate the Games: one with a grey dial and one with a white dial. These were only produced for that '64 calendar year. White Dial glam ...
