Minerva

The Minerva is a very special and personal watch for me.

I have a very personal letter from Managing Director Jean-Jacques Frey. In this letter he told me that my watch was made late 1998 or very early 1999. The watch and movement were assembled by Mr Pierre Claude. The regleuse, Mrs Mady Gonseth, made the hairspring and assembled the escapement. She was also responsible for the final quality control.

Jean-Jacques Frey also sent me the Minerva catalogue with a personal regard from his father, Mr André Frey, who designed the calibre 48 movement in 1943.

Jean-Jacques wrote jokingly that in a few years the signature and catalogue would probably be more worth than the watch…

I bought the Minerva nearly 13 years ago and she will always be a part of my collection.

Best Regards

Livius
