in 2006 with one of the least expensive Speedmaster versions. It then proceeded to 2 TAGs - the Monza and Grand Carrera C.36, and the Longines Evidenza. This stretch of 'collecting' however ended in 2010 with the peak of the Great Recession looming, so I had to sell all four of them to the highest bidder. Now, more than a decade on, that I'm basically back to 'high end collecting', I had to start things off with the JLC AMVOXII - the one that got away, and plan on going for another 4 or 5 watches foreseeably that will make the long-term core of my 'collection'. This will, depending on availability and timing, be the Reverso, another Speedmaster (most likely meteorite dial), VC 1921 and Overseas, and perhaps another AMVOX. Beyond this, I don't have any exacting motivations or aspirations, it will be down to any given moment in time, and corresponding circumstances........
