Dr No[Moderator Omega - Wristscan]

My first conversations with Cap occurred eight or nine years ago . . .
. . . during a trying period for the prior incarnation of WatchProSite. Cap was on the outs with a clique of moderators as was myself. When the dust settled, Cap became a freshly minted moderator of the Wrist Scan forum. Years later Cap told me he asked Bill which colleagues he should choose as co-mods for Wrist Scan. When my name came up Bill approved. I owe my second stint as a Wrist Scan moderator to Cap.
Shortly after asking me to join him we had our first telephone conversation. It was as though I'd known him forever. We bonded instantly. Cap was not only a gentleman and a scholar, but also equal parts witty, humble, and honest. His sincerity shone thru every conversation we ever had. The greatest regret I have in life is not having made the extra effort to meet him. On at least a few occasions he said he wanted me to drive his '63 split-window 'Vette . . . of course I never even tried to take him up on the offer.
We know him as a car and watch guy; what some may not realize is that he was first and foremost a musician. If we spoke twenty times over the last eight years, music - his favorite musicians and bands as well as mine - came up nineteen. Only during our last brief conversation in January did we not talk about music at all. He must've been ill at the time; our last conversation was mainly about our families and the Wrist Scan forum. I should've realized then he was in worse condition than he let on.
Some time back we were discussing my passion for the Rolling Stones. I said words to the effect that my gravestone should read, "Here lies Art / 46 Stones shows in 46 years".
Without missing a beat he replied, "And just below have 'If this grave's a-rockin' don't bother knockin'!"
Cap was the best.
