Our theme this week will be . . .

. . . "Future Vintage".

Please share the watch (or watches) in your collection that you feel will be considered vintage classics in the future.

Fifteen years ago, one of my friends asked Dirk to prepare a mock-up of a Dornblüth 99.1 with a grey dial, applied Arabics, and blued hands.  Here's the image . . .

. . . Dirk created.  As it turned out my friend never followed up with an order; I retained the image as it struck a resonant chord.

Many years passed.  I never acquired a Dornblüth for the usual reason: another priority got in the way.  Finally, in the fullness of time, their turn had come.  I was ready both financially and in developmental terms as well.

Dirk's image of a Dornblüth with a grey dial became the basis for the 99.1M that I placed an order for in late 2019.

Twelve years may be a long stretch, but as they say . . .

. . . "Good things come to he that waits."   In my estimation Dornblüth marines will become future vintage classics.  Come Friday, please be ready to share the watches in your collection destined for appreciation in the future as vintage classics.

Cordially,

Art
