Spellbound, thats happened to me more times than i care to mention or remember. i still have over 1700 feedback on the bay so been pretty successful so far.
what i say is put down your top bid you are willing to pay and leave it, if someone wants it more than you then they win but you've made your best shot and not got involved in a bidding war.
example this morning. 2 cds by Buddy Whittington, a great blues guitarist who has played with pretty much everyone incl John Mayall and the bluesbreakers.
his only 2 cds in his own name, the first being very rare and selling used on amazon for over £20.
7 days ago i bid max of £20.97 incl shipping for both of them. watched it finish in bed this morning and i got them for £7.20 icl postage. ching ching a bargain.
very happy graham especially as i'm going to see him next saturday and doing photography for the promoter so can get them signed and dated as i try to do with most bands i see.
his first cd signed and dated will probably double in value and keep rising.
we need a music forum on this site as some of you are missing out on some of the best blues the world has ever heard :)

The watch that I miss in my collection is the Reverso. My watchmaker showed me several models and we even discussed the engraving on the backside, but a t the time, about 10 years ago, I felt that the Reverso was to old fashion and bought the Jaeger-LeCou...
