I confess that I never purchased a J gold NOR a second-hand watch....but who knows, one day I might decide to break the ice in one of these areas (more likely the first one.... ;-)) Certainly, the 3970J would be a terrific candidate, and yet again, a perfect representative of an area of true excellence of Patek!

Very good design in this diver
Orange hand which is so legible. I like the curved case too. Love the day date function on it too. I actually don’t mind the assymetry of dials, as the function is very useful. The colour really resembles sea grapes on a cloudy day’s dive.
The hand is actually yellow as is the bezel

Dark, succulent and it highlights the motiff in the centre of the dial. That’s one rare BP too. I was too late to get a BP I always wanted. The aqualung big date. Prices are off the charts now for that piece.
