I actually didn’t know Sam Francis at all, and you’ve just introduced me to Joan Mitchell as well.
Her work hits me on a much deeper emotional level – there’s something raw and immediate that really speaks to me.
Francis feels more distant in comparison, though still intriguing. But it doesn't appeal to me emotionally like Mitchell.
Ghisetti is a different story altogether – more conceptual, but with a vibrant energy I enjoy.
